Closer to Customers, Stronger in the Market: Magirus Strategically Realigns Its Global Sales Organisation

Sales reorganisation with a clear focus on direct sales, customer proximity and international market development / Closer dialogue with end users for more practical solutions and faster responsiveness / Targeted expansion of international sales structures and regional presence, including in the United Arab Emirates, Spain and Poland / Strengthening Magirus’ role as a reliable partner for public safety and critical infrastructure through growing international presence

Magirus is strategically restructuring its national and international sales organisation, placing direct customer interaction consistently at the centre of its approach. As part of the company’s comprehensive transformation, Magirus will make even more systematic use of market and operational insights in order to align its solutions more closely with the practical requirements of emergency response organisations.

To achieve this, Magirus is further developing its sales organisation, redefining responsibilities and continuously expanding its sales team in order to strengthen customer and market proximity. This enables market and customer requirements to be identified earlier and translated more quickly into concrete solutions. The sales reorganisation is therefore a key pillar of Magirus’ strategic transformation and forms the foundation for further growth.

Customer Proximity as a Guiding Principle in Sales

The new structure reflects key elements of Magirus’ transformation plan aimed at stronger customer focus and greater organisational efficiency. Direct interaction with Magirus shortens decision-making processes and increases transparency. Customers benefit from closer and more continuous support, as well as solutions tailored even more precisely to their operational requirements.

At the same time, the new structure enables market and operational requirements to be analysed more systematically. This allows trends and developments to be identified at an early stage and innovations to be translated more quickly into practical solutions — closely aligned with real operational environments and on-site requirements.

“With the realignment of our sales organisation, we are laying the foundation for the long-term strengthening of our customer relationships while consistently aligning our organisation around customer focus, service quality and market intelligence. This ensures that Magirus remains a reliable partner for authorities and organisations with security responsibilities — including fire services, civil protection organisations, technical rescue organisations, humanitarian aid organisations and the armed forces,” explains Fatmir Veselaj, CEO of Magirus.

Partnerships in Transition: New Approaches to Collaboration

As part of the reorganisation, existing dealer and partner structures are being strategically reviewed and further developed. In some cases, this may also result in existing partnerships not being continued.

“We are grateful for the support and collaboration we have received from our long-standing partners, while at the same time embracing new forms of cooperation that ensure sustainable success and the best possible support for our customers,” says Thorsten Marquardt, Head of Global Sales at Magirus.

At the same time, Magirus is holding discussions with existing dealers and sales partners in selected markets regarding future-oriented succession and structural models. The focus lies on long-term stability, regional presence and the joint further development of market organisations. Magirus is explicitly open to forms of cooperation that go beyond traditional sales structures and conventional partnership models.

Stronger Regional Presence in the United Arab Emirates, Spain and Poland

Alongside the reorganisation in Germany, Magirus is also intensifying the support of its international markets. Under the leadership of Andreas Wenzel, who brings many years of international sales experience, the global sales team is being expanded and further developed. The objective is to support dealers and partners worldwide even more closely, systematically unlock market potential and provide customers in all regions with faster and more direct support.

At the same time, Magirus continues to drive the expansion of its own national subsidiaries. Following the establishment of Magirus Switzerland and the opening of the new location in Schongau in the Canton of Lucerne in 2025, as well as the currently ongoing establishment of a dedicated company in the United Arab Emirates, the next step will be the establishment of national companies in Spain and Poland.

Through this stronger regional presence, Magirus is creating closer proximity to its markets while improving the global availability of its products and services.

By expanding its international sales structures, Magirus is consistently pursuing the goal of supporting customers worldwide more directly, understanding regional market requirements more precisely and further strengthening its role as a reliable partner for public safety and critical infrastructure on an international level.
