Magirus continues to gain momentum, both in its operational performance and in the implementation of its transformation programme. The results for the first half of 2026 confirm that the company is firmly on course: revenue increased by more than 30 per cent compared with the same period last year, the order backlog now exceeds €1 billion, and full-year revenue is expected to surpass €400 million. These results provide a strong foundation for the company's continued development and underline the consistent progress of its strategic transformation.
Transformation delivering results: Strong performance, with further work ahead
The first-half results confirm that the transformation programme launched in 2025 is delivering measurable results: higher revenues, a growing order backlog and a progressively more stable operational base. At the same time, Magirus recognises that the transformation is not yet complete. Further strengthening operational excellence, expanding international activities and enhancing customer service remain key priorities. In parallel, the company will continue to strengthen the Magirus brand, which has stood for reliability in emergency response since its foundation in 1864.
"We promised that we would put Magirus back on a solid footing, step by step. An order backlog of more than €1 billion and revenue growth of 30 per cent in the first half of the year show that we are moving in the right direction. However, we are not yet where we want to be. Every day we continue to improve our performance and further enhance the reliability of our products and services," said Fatmir Veselaj, Chief Executive Officer of Magirus.
Quality as a commitment: Continuous process improvement remains a priority
A key focus of the transformation remains the continuous improvement of quality. For Magirus, reliability is more than a performance indicator – it is a commitment to the fire services, emergency response organisations and security authorities that rely on Magirus technology every day. The company continues to invest significant effort in sustainably improving its processes.
"In emergency response, there is no second chance. That is why reliability comes first. We are continuously refining our processes with the utmost care to deliver the quality our customers expect from Magirus and can depend on in every situation," said Harry Oortwijn, Chief Operations Officer of Magirus.
Defense & Security: Integration on track, market development progressing
The expansion of the Magirus Defense & Security business unit is progressing according to plan. The integration of the Radfeld site has been largely completed and provides the foundation for the continued development of the business. Newly aligned sales activities have been successfully launched and initial discussions with customers have been highly encouraging, underlining the significant long-term potential of this market.
In addition to further strengthening sales of its existing portfolio, Magirus is also developing new solutions by leveraging synergies across the Group. As part of this strategy, the company plans to introduce its own mobile antenna mast solution by mid-2027, further expanding its Defense & Security portfolio.
Global presence, local strength: Expanding regional footprint worldwide
Alongside its transformation in Germany, Magirus continues to strengthen its international presence. The company is further expanding its activities in international markets with the aim of supporting dealers and partners more closely, unlocking market potential more systematically and serving customers faster and more directly around the world.
Magirus is therefore continuing the expansion of its own national organisations. Following the establishment of Magirus Switzerland and the opening of its new Schongau site in the Canton of Lucerne in 2025, the company is currently establishing its own legal entity in the United Arab Emirates while also pursuing the planned joint venture with the Juffali Group in Saudi Arabia. The next step will be the establishment of national companies in Spain and Poland. By strengthening its regional presence, Magirus is creating greater proximity to key markets and improving the availability of its products and services worldwide.
Strong foundations, clear direction: Magirus looks ahead with confidence
Based on its current performance and strong order backlog, Magirus is confident about the second half of 2026.
"The outcome of 2026 will be decisive for the success of our transformation programme. That is why our objective is not simply to deliver a strong financial year, but to improve our operational performance sustainably. Today we are laying the foundations for a stronger Magirus – with better processes, closer customer relationships, a consistent international focus and a brand that emergency and rescue services around the world will continue to trust," said Fatmir Veselaj.
