On 5 February 2026, Magirus hosted the dialogue format “Klingbeil in Conversation.” German Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil met with citizens as well as representatives from politics, business, and the region at the Magirus Experience Center, the company’s customer and exhibition venue in Ulm, Germany. The evening provided space for an open exchange on topics like security, transformation, and the importance of regional value creation in a challenging global environment, emphasising the role of dialogue and collaboration.
Transformation as a Responsibility and Security as a Core Mission
In his welcome address, Magirus CEO Fatmir Veselaj highlighted the responsibility companies like Magirus bear in times of global change: "For Magirus, transformation means developing high quality products, ensuring sustainable affordability, and securing stable jobs in Ulm and the surrounding region. This regional strength is a crucial building block for stability—locally and beyond."
The discussions underscored the importance of reliable security structures and modern technologies for society and emergency services. Magirus demonstrated how innovations in firefighting technology can provide concrete answers to central security challenges.
Strong Industrial Locations as the Foundation of a Resilient Europe
The dialogue made clear that economic strength and social stability do not emerge solely at the European level, but locally—where companies take responsibility, safeguard value creation, and drive innovation. Contributions from the audience emphasized the need for joint efforts to align transformation, climate protection, industrial policy, and the reduction of bureaucracy.
Magirus Relies on Dialogue and Collaboration
For Magirus, dialogue with political, economic, and societal stakeholders is a central part of its responsibility. The evening demonstrated how essential communication, exchange, and collective action are for strengthening security, stability, and future viability.
