More than just a vehicle class: A program for ensuring survival.

At first glance these look like small, fully equipped fire engines. But when you take a closer look, our TSF-W and MLF are much more: They're building blocks for ensuring the survival of many volunteer fire brigades.

With a compact format and optimum equipment for fire-fighting, lifesaving, pumping fire-fighting water or technical assistance, they're perfect for giving even smaller fire brigades a full range of equipment. And since their gross weight is under 7.5 t, they can be driven with the so-called "fire brigade driver's licence" – without costly new driver's licence training for the operators.

Even if these vehicles are "small" in terms of their dimensions, by making a comprehensive contribution to preserving the fire-fighting business, they're doing something very big.

The right vehicle for every operation.

For the permissible gross weight in the 4–7 t weight class, the Magirus small fire engine range offers a wide selection of individual vehicle configurations. For widely diverse fire brigade requirements. For example, as a traditional fire pump vehicle with or without a water tank, as a small-tank fire engines or as a medium fire engine with a permanently installed rear pump.

A widely diverse range of transporter and forward-control tractor chassis variants is available.

And of course, everything comes all-inclusive with our decades of experience and expertise, practical know-how and top quality.

    Superstructure concept: Internal tank

If the focus is on equipment and the crew, then a superstructure concept with an internal modular tank is ideal. It offers plenty of storage space and maximum flexibility for loading according to tactical necessity and individual requirements.

    High-volume superstructures

This concept offers plenty of storage space alongside the tanks. Lowered equipment lockers (some optional) between and behind the axles add even more available space.

    Modular tank system

The modular system is flexible – both in terms of water and foam volume and in the position of the tanks in the vehicle. Three different tank widths are available. Narrow tanks allow deeper equipment lockers. Tailor-made extinguishing medium solutions are available due to different tank widths and modular foam tank combinations.

    AluFire 3

Rely on the original: AluFire 3

Magirus invented the aluminium superstructure for fire-fighting vehicles. In its third generation, the AluFire system has already proven thousands of times that it is more flexible, intelligent, powerful and successful than ever.

    Robust. Lightweight. Uncomplicated.

Specially designed for Magirus, the anodised aluminium profiles are highly resistant, stable and extremely long-lasting. Fewer overall components mean reduced weight and simplified maintenance and repairs. We guarantee against rust-through for 12 years – only in connection with a maintenance contract.

You get three dimensions of flexibility.

Surrounded 360° by aluminium carrier bands for full loading flexibility: This enables uninterrupted floor to roof loading. Panel-shelves can also be inserted without the need to remove any components.

    Heavy-duty and long-lasting solution.

Highly stable sandwich floors are extremely strong. Countersunk screws prevent injuries and damage to equipment. Smooth-surfaced floors are easy to clean.

  • Proven Magirus Pump Technology

    Proven Magirus Pump Technology

We put fire under real pressure.

We offer two different pump systems for Magirus small fire-fighting vehicles. Whether you need a permanently installed pump or a portable fire pump: Our extinguishing technology can stop fires quickly and efficiently.

  • Magirus Fire portable pump

    Magirus Fire portable pump

    Magirus Fire portable pump

The Magirus Fire is the best portable fire pump in the market for use in a superstructure, since no hearing protection is necessary for long-term operation. Exhaust gases are removed through a built-in exhaust system. This means the fire pump can be operated in the superstructure after opening the roller shutter. The fire pump is connected to the fire-fighting water tank and the rapid water release unit or (as an option) to the quick attack hose reel. The water outlets are located above the water tank; as an alternative, feed from hydrants, open water sources or from other pumps is also possible. The corresponding piping and switchover fixtures are included. Learn more about our Magirus fire pumps.

  • Permanently installed Magirus pumps

    Permanently installed Magirus pumps

The tail-mounted Magirus pump is powered by a chassis motor via a drive shaft. The built-in fire pump is connected to the fire-fighting water tank and the rapid water release unit or (as an option) to the quick attack hose reel. The low pump control stand features ergonomic operation. That means that higher hydrant pressures or pumping water over long distances is no problem. Foam proportioning systems can be integrated on request.

    Magirus Primatic self-priming system

Magirus Primatic is the heart of our pumps. It is particularly safe and low-wear. Its design is based on the membrane pump, which is known for its insensitivity to dirt. The self-priming system is switched on and off directly by pump pressure, without additional mechanical, hydraulic or electrical aid.

    • The modern, up-to-date control system that can be operated quickly and easily even without computer experience.
    • Logical, intuitive combination of familiar pushbutton operation for the main functions supported by a display that shows all necessary information.
    • Simplest possible menu structure with flat hierarchies – without complicated menu changes, without touchscreen
    • Can also be used as a display for the rear view camera (optional) – pushbuttons can be operated with gloves.
    • Display instruments, e.g. manometers, have a familiar analogue look – remote diagnostics possible for telematics systems
    • Now new with integrated light mast operation – control of all CAN-bus networking in the superstructure and in built on components via FireCan
    • Same operating logic as the driver's cab HMI control unit simplifies handling and training

Cab variants for the IVECO DAILY chassis (up to 7 t)

    Unique in the "small class".

Two variants of the DAILY chassis and two cab solutions can be selected for the compact Magirus MLF (previously: relay fire engine):

    Variant 1: Double cab

The DAILY chassis is available with a crew compartment integrated in the driver's cab. The spacious double cab easily accommodates a complete crew (1+5). The crew compartment features optimum acoustic insulation, is climate-controlled and reflects the latest ergonomic advances. The wide steering angle gives the DAILY enormous agility: The vehicle can manoeuvred easily in tight spaces.

    Variant 2: Integrale double cab

The crew compartment is integrated in each of the AluFire 3 superstructures. The equipment lockers are installed low behind the rear axle. The spacious crew compartment has an uninterrupted floor and provides plenty of space. Two sets of breathing apparatus stored in the crew compartment make it possible to put on equipment while underway. Generously dimensioned glass areas provide brightness and ensure an optimum all-round view.

Cab variants for other chassis types (7–11 t)

Variant 1: Double cab of the respective chassis manufacturer

As an alternative to the IVECO DAILY chassis, different chassis types from various manufacturers with factory-installed double cabs can be used as the basis for fire-fighting vehicles. A breathing apparatus can be installed in most of these cabs.

Variant 2: Magirus cab with aluminium technology

A special aluminium cab has been developed for all chassis types that cannot be installed as standard on the Magirus truck assembly line as well as for chassis made by other manufacturers. The cab module is also hydraulically tiltable and features a standard middle window for optimum all-round visibility. It can either be docked onto the rear wall of the driver's cab or onto the front wall of the superstructure. When integrated with the superstructure, the truck driver's cab remains tiltable and the crew module is fixed (Aluminium technology Integrale).

Three BA devices can be installed in the direction of travel. If the rear wall is lengthened, an additional four BA devices can be installed in the direction of travel.
