For special circumstances, everyday solutions are simply not enough.

In the fire-fighting business, standards play a major role. But the individual situations the world's many fire brigades handle and the tasks they perform all vary. Local conditions, individual missions and one-off requirements must always be accounted for. This is precisely why we carry a wide range of special vehicles. Some of these are truly exotic. Many are absolute unique. Most are multifunctional. But all are typical for Magirus: Optimised for everyday use, designed without frills or unnecessary bells and whistles, thoroughly pragmatic – but despite this, always exceptional. Whether used as command centres, combination vehicles or multi-taskers: Our specialists make your fleet complete.

Increasing challenges in the field of firefighting and smoke control require new solutions. Magirus AirCore is an innovative firefighting technology for industrial fires, tunnel fires and forest fires. The unique turbine is capable to obscure an amount of water of up to 1,500 l/min fine, achieving throwing distances of up to 80 m. It achieves a significant higher cooling performance than conventional equipment while reducing water consumption at the same time.

Magirus Multistar

Passion, fighting spirit and tenacity: Hardly any other Magirus vehicle embodies these qualities to such an extent as the MultiStar. This combination of aerial rescue and firefighting vehicle that we introduced in 2000 was a completely new idea – and at that time, far ahead of its day in Europe. Although it initially found little acceptance and was first used with some hesitation, it then completely won over fire brigades and has now become a true international success. As a 2-in-1 vehicle, the MultiStar primarily offers greater tactical firefighting benefit and is thus an idea whose time has come. Four basic models cover the requirements of fire brigades that have different mission profiles. By combining individual functional modules, the MultiStar can do nearly everything – except deny its origin. Its aerial rescue unit proves that it is a "thoroughbred Magirus". The special mast geometry, its special lift mechanism and the precise rescue cage levelling function contribute unrivalled functionality and performance – even compared to international standards. From underdog to world champion – if that's not a success story! Read more

Something special does not have to be spectacular. Only good.

Magirus FRAP

We don't think that vehicles should be getting larger and larger, but that the value they offer fire brigades should be increasing. This is difficult – but absolutely possible with the appropriate know-how. The proof is in our exceptional vehicle concept: A multi-tasker. What people cannot do, FRAP does (Fire – Rescue – Ambulance – Personnel). This is why it undoubtedly deserves its title as "Versatility Champion". With equipment for extinguishing fires, providing technical and medical assistance as well as transporting crews, this compact, agile all-rounder in van format is ideal for organisations that fight fires as well as provide rescue services.

Mobile command centre

Mobile command centre

Working from anywhere: The mega-trend in today's working world. For heads of operations at fire brigades and relief organisations, this has always been a must. Their mobile "offices" are modern command centres they use whilst leading and coordinating field operations. No matter whether an operation involves a traffic accident on a country road or a large-scale industrial emergency, a great deal depends on the perfect equipment, organisation and function of these vehicles, which allow intelligent, secure and flexible stowage of standard and special loads, as well as efficient integration of telecommunications and wireless technology.
