  • 12/07/2016: Delivery for Hungary
    Delivery TTL Hungary M32L-AS and M42L-AS

    The first five TTL of a 15 vehicle order were presented to the ”National Directorate General for Disaster Management” in Budapest. The four M32L-AS and the M42L-AS were officially accepted. With this delivery Magirus shows its turntable ladder competence and strengthens position as the market leader in Hungary.

    Andreas Klauser and Marc Diening

    Effective immediately, Marc Diening is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Magirus, the global firefighting equipment business. Diening, born in Wuppertal (Germany), succeeds Antonio Benedetti, who left the company at the end of 2015 at his own request.

    The national winners of the title "Fire brigade team of the year!"

    The winners of the award have been announced at this year's gala event. The title "Firefigthing Team of the year" is shared by six Bavarian teams who coworked to rescue a man after a serious traffic accident. Brazil could defend it's title "International Firefighting Team of the Year".

  • 31/07/2015: FDNY welcomes German Junior Fire Brigade
    Deisel zu Besuch in New York

    New York City is a world metropolis. Correspondingly, its fire department has a lot to do. With 221 fire stations and 30 rescue stations, the New York City Fire Department is the largest city fire department in the world. This made it all the more exciting for the Deisel Junior Fire Department from North Hesse – the most recent winners of the Conrad Dietrich Magirus prize – to personally meet FDNY Department Chief James E. Leonard at his main headquarters in Brooklyn.

    Visitors to the Interschutz 2015 trade show in Hanover from June 8th to 13th will be greeted by the prominent Magirus “M” at long-established company Magirus’s booth. Here they will find more than 30 vehicles over a space of 4,000 square meters – including world’s firsts in the field of turntable ladders like the M68L, the M34L-H heavy-duty turntable ladder, the Magirus AirCore, and the new Magirus Team Cab. Each day visitors will be able to marvel at the new innovations in action during simulated rescue shows carried out on a presentation tower.

    Magirus Camiva has just opened its new site in Chambéry. With a surface of 12,200 sqm, Magirus Camiva's new site is becoming the brand's new centre of excellence in France. It will focus on turntable ladders, but also on fire engines, forest fire vehicles, and special vehicles. Designed to equip over a hundred vehicles per year, the Chambéry site uses standardised methods to produce customised vehicles.
