Rettmobil 2014 - Magirus Rescue Loader RL500

Worldwide innovation: Magirus Rescue Loader RL500

Last week, as a part of this year's RETTmobil in Fulda Magirus presented the brand new HLF 20 on the single-tyred IVECO FF150E30W. The spacious aluminium crew compartment, also suitable for chassis with Euro 6 engine technology, raised particular interest.

Visitors to the Magirus stand were also particularly interested in the MLF vehicle. A complete vehicle all from a single mould was displayed on the Daily chassis. With 1,000 liters of fire-fighting water and an extensive gear load the vehicle is tactically very valuable and nevertheless weighs only 7,000 kg. This makes it an optimum vehicle that can also be driven with the fire brigade driver's license.

Worldwide Innovation: Ambulance Heavy Loader

The presentation of the Magirus Rescue Loader RL500 was an absolute worldwide innovation. This unique rescue system enables rescue of extremely heavy, morbidly obese individuals. It can handle a payload of up to 500 kg. The system was presented in combination with the Magirus CS turntable ladders. Instead of a rescue cage, a specially developed fixture is attached at the top of the ladder.

Another new feature was the stretcher rescue connective equipment. This certified protective equipment for preventing falls enables improved and simple rescues from great heights and depths with a basket stretcher. It's intuitive and fast to operate and can be attached to the ladder top and the basket stretcher without any further preparations.
